Microsoft has announced price increases for April, and it’s essential to stay on top of them to understand how they’ll affect your business and budget planning going forward. Today, we’re looking at key updates to help you prepare for these, from who will be affected to the pricing changes you can expect in the near future.
When will the change occur?
Price increases will take effect from the 1st of April 2025.
Who will be affected by Microsoft price increases?
This change will affect clients who purchase licenses outright (including Teams Phone Standard, Power BI Pro, or Power BI Premium), and clients who purchase annual subscriptions paid monthly.
What do the Microsoft price increases look like?
Pricing shifts will include:
- Teams Phone Standard licenses increasing around 25%, as a result of ongoing innovation and added features.
- Power BI Pro licenses increasing around 40%, and Power BI Premium Per User licenses increasing around 20%. This is the first price increase Power BI has seen since being introduced ten years ago.
- Annual subscriptions paid monthly increasing around 5%. This includes Microsoft 365, Office 365, Enterprise Mobility + Security, Windows 365, Dynamics 365, and Power Platform. For clients with an existing annual commitment paid monthly, this increase will only be implemented on the annual renewal date. Until then, your monthly price won’t change.
